Harvest Ale

If anyone out there does want to use the actual pumpkin. Yes, use enzymes. I forgot my enzymes at Thanksgiving and ended up with a Pumpkin Session Brown. It did taste good, but the alcohol did not convert well at all. I also used enough pumpkin that I don't think my bag drained well enough. I use the blender to liquify it and add it as part of my strike water.
Pumpkin belongs in beer, pies, and in the dinner dishes:) I like using the pumpkin, but lots and lots of people do make a "Pumpkin Ale" without the pumpkin and with just the spices. The spices are what makes that kind of beer unique, like a Winter Warmer.
