I ordered some stuff from southern homebrew in Florida on the 3rd. They charged my card on the 3rd. Other than an order confirmation, nothing: no ship date, no expected delivery date, no tracking number, no response to my emails or voice mail.
Come to find out there are a ton of 0 star reviews claiming the same issue with this company.
I just filed a dispute with my credit card company.

Gotta be super careful. There are a lot of fake sites for special interest stuff. If the prices seem way too good, it's a bad sign and payment to a paypal account is a tip-off, too. Hope you get your money back! :/

Good luck. It sucks this happened but thanks for sharing this tale of woe so others can know.

I see Walmart uses them to fill some of their brew supply orders for what that's worth
hopefully it shows up

I haven't done any mail order with them. I have gone there to pick up bottles before the kegging days. Sorry to hear that.

I guess there are two of them with similar names. I have been to the Southern Brewing one in Tampa, and they also had some kick ass beers at the bar. It appears there is another Southern Homebrew in New Smyrna/Edgewater that I haven't been to. Can you clarify which location?

My one in Orlando has a great online store, and I go pick it up. It would cost a fortune to have grain shipped though.

That's why I get my base grain through the bulk grain buy with my homebrew club: 55 lb bag of Crisp #19 floor malted maris otter for $60. Several ozs or a lb or so of specialty grains doesn't add that much to the shipping when I get hops and yeast.

Damn, that sucks Steve.
