Building one with a ten gallon cooler. Had a great valve left from my all in one but not enough threads left to put on my torpedo screen. Is there something else I can buy with longer threads to allow me to screw on my 6" torpedo screen? It has female threads... Chip

Pipe threads are somewhat standardized. Bring the valve to your local hardware or big-box store to see what size fits it. Then buy one made of stainless in that size.

Steel will rust, brass contains lead, aluminum corrodes. Use the stainless.

Pipe threads are good, just not long enough. Once I put on the locking nut on the inside there aren't enough threads left to screw on the torpedo screen. Thanks for the reply though... Chip

Sorry that my idea didn’t come out clearly. The thing you’d buy would essentially act as the nut and provide more threads for the torpedo. You might need two pieces, one for that and another to adapt to the torpedo.

If I’m understanding correctly, maybe something like this. It will replace the lock nut on the inside of your MT and there should be enough thread for the torpedo. I’m guessing your threads are 1/2” npt?

YES, you are understanding correctly. And I ordered one NPT and one NPS just to be sure. Will send the other back. (-; Chip

I have the valve already from my crashed and burned all in one. Just need a thread extender which I think I've found...
