Next time you make a Czech Premium Pilsner try these three hops and target ~30 IBU's:
1) Magnum at 60-90 minutes remaining in the boil: 50% of target IBU's
2) Sterling at 30 minutes remaining in the boil: 30.9% of target IBU's
3) Saaz at 15 minutes remaining in the boil: 19.1% of target IBU's
Saaz for all additions is fine, but expensive.
1.618... x 30.9% ~= 50%
1.000 x 30.9% = 30.9%
0.618... x 30.9% ~= 19.1%
(my golden ratio for 3 hop additions rule)
1.618... x 1.000... x 0.618... = 1.000...
(the golden ratio)
50% + 30.9% + 19.1% = 100%
(the 3 hop addition golden ratio as %'s)
