I don't have a cast iron pan, and I didn't want to F up my expensive non-stick pan, so I used my really crappy pan. It did taste good. For my first attempt, I was very happy. I found an Indian ground beef curry recipe online that I have made a few times, and that I like. I compare it to a Sloppy Joe, but with Indian spices, Naan instead of rolls, and without cheese.
In the directions for the bread, they did say to smoke the pan a little. In that crappy pan, it meant smoking most of the house though LOL.
My wife hated curry. She was a wonderful lady, and I miss her, but I have been learning to cook my own recipes. Because I couldn't do it at home when she was alive, I do crave a curry recipe hear and there. When I was in London in June, I ate Indian dishes a few times. We can get Vietnamese in Orlando, but I don't trust the Chinese and Indian places here.
