Ok,i have a glut of blackberries and will be doing a blackberry stout as a previous one was really good. Would like to tackle a 'blushing blonde' type brew, ie a pale ale with added blackberries to just give it that tinge of colour and taste. Question is,anyone know what sort of quantity i would need to add to a 5 or 6 litre brew without actually going overboard and turning the beer purple
Ok,not to worry.Have found some info on it. Will be my next but one brew,if it turns out any good,i will post it up
Respectfully disagreeing. Saison has too much going on. I'd go with simple, a Blonde or Amber to let the fruit come through. For a Saison, i'd use the fruit as a subtle background note.
