That's a great way of putting it as well, we get good coffee, and that costs per unit, A LOT MORE than hops! So that's a great way of framing it, and I'm gonna keep that in mind while I'm making these recipes

My last (and first) NEIPA featured 300g of dry hops in the 20-liter batch.

Oh and I justify hops like this cup of coffee $6 bag of hops 12$
Cup of coffee 5min of satisfaction couple of bags of hops weeks worth of satisfaction.

You usually get a regular cup $4.50 - $5

Hops average I'd say around the $12/100g bag some are cheaper like cascade sazz ect but new stuff can be pricey Riwaka I saw fetching $13.5 / 100 g the other day new NZ hop once people start raving about it it goes up.
I rekon best underrated aus hop atm is Topaz I used that in my last bunyip yeah it's no Galaxy but still brings something to the party.
Oh I must add cheaper to by in half kilo bulk.
