If anyone has a 1965 Ranchero and wonders how much beer will fit in the "smuggler's box", I've done the math: :p

My buddy & I are heading to the Sonoma NASCAR race June 7-9, and camping at the track campground. This is our solution to avoid having to leave the track to buy beer and to avoid sky-high beer prices at the track. BYOB.

Love the math. Love the idea of camping for the road race, but Hamms??? Ouch!! The last time I had one of those, it was two beers and then a nasty headache. The last time I was in wine country, they actually had some pretty decent breweries up there.

I think my 64 El Camino had that area also.

Shame, I had a few Hamms just the other day at the local VFW . Went down quite well...
P.S. also in Minnesota

Once was enough for me LOL.
I remember a roommate years and years ago that knew a bunch of the EPCOT temp people from Europe. They would bring the cheapest f ing beer they could find to a party. Hamms was one of them.
Maybe it has improved. I don't know, but I haven't been willing to find out.
I'm leaning toward the Modelo Negra if I buy the mass produced stuff these days.

Everyone loves their native regional mid-tier mass market lager and shouldn't be judged for it. I will drink Genesee and Genny Cream Ale till the day I die and I don't care who tries to stop me.

Also a big fan of Labbatt because Buffalo is like 30% Canadian.

That is not true! I grew up in Seattle, Ranier beer is garbage, lol. Always has been

My go-to mass produced beer! Even if it's been on the shelf too long, it's still drinkable
I like local, but the distribution side has taken a turn for the worse down here, especially Publix, unless you want to gulp something down at 9%. Modelo Negra is very drinkable and the other option since no one carries Boddingtons anymore.
ABC has the Crooked Can Cloud Chaser (Hefe) and The Tripping Animals No Mames Dark (6% Dark Mexican Lager), but I am not always up there.

I cut my beer drinking teeth on those green labeled shortie bottles...I'm pretty sure I have trace amounts of the Genesee River in my DNA still!

Now I just need a 65 Ranchero and I am all set

I would help hide a body for a Ranchero or an El Camino but they are rare as hens teeth in Alberta. That would immediately be my new project vehicle.

Was that show Rust Valley Restorers in Alberta or was that BC?

BC, I think somehwere around Prince George but I'm not sure.
