OK, I might need a little help here! ;)

That seems to be either a slowing or stopping of the downturn worldwide of beer consumption. It's been going down since the 70's.

I personally have lowerd my alcohol % to below 5% and only drink 1 at meal time, no reason for this other than I don't like getting up at 3 am to pee, I think its an aging generation thing
well that's a piss poor excuse if I ever heard one:rolleyes:

you tossed that one up for me

Aging and life circumstances. I used to like to pound them on Friday. Now, it is happy hour, maybe have one when I get home on Friday and get up early on Saturday so I can have a life. I do like my breweries, but I have to be very careful with the way the nut jobs around here drive.

American myself, but the Fam is English, Croatian & German.

I can't speak to the other countries but my observation is that the U.S. has reduced consumption due to the poorly defined medical advice folks take to heart, i.e. 'all alcohol is bad' especially by the youngsters, decriminalization of weed and over compensating rebounds of those that can't handle their drink too well.
Like so many social problems, it's not just one reason but a combination of a multitude of changes on the margins.
It's a shame too; beer drinking is a social experience for millennium that has a cultural heritage as we've all proudly pointed out, oh...Slovak, German and Scot - Irish here, that is better to preserve than allow to go by the wayside of history. Call me sentimental but I get such a smile when I see whole families at the brewery having as good time.

Ok Rant off.....I think I need beer...

people are drinking less beer
people are drinking more seltzers and canned mixed drinks i
n the states anyway

face it the gen, (put multiple letter behind) generation is just plain lazy, they don't want to work to make good beer

no kidding now

The Times
Yes, federal officials considered lowering the alcohol limit for men to one drink daily but dropped specific numbers in the new 2025-2030 Dietary Guidelines, opting for general advice to "consume less alcohol," a significant change from the previous guidelines that recommended one drink for women and two for men, with the new guidance noting no amount of alcohol is truly safe and listing groups who should avoid it entirely.

I'm just gonna stop you right there... :D:D:D
Never have "youngsters", in any era, been acutely heedful of advice of any sort given by their elders. :D:p

Also, there is plenty of advice about health hazards involved with vaping, for instance, but that's definitely a thing. If younger generations (in America) are drinking less beer, it has more to do with changing preferences. Yes cannabis products, but also a big change in alcohol preferences and bar culture - mixed drinks and mocktails seem to be more common than a big array of craft beer taps in hip new bars.

when a beer costs as much as a martini we have a problem
In Czech R beer is like $3 and often less sometimes even free
how can we compete with that

It was 1 dollar, when I was there ;)
Admittedly a long long time ago
