Just like the steamshovel replaced much manual labor, these non-intelligent (just awful damned fast) computer programs can now generate first drafts of many written communications.

That is not what is so amazing.

That they can react accurately to natural language is the key. The generation part is easy once you understand the question: just mush together anything you find related to the request.
