Adding orange peel to a 1 gallon brew

Has anyone tried adding Cointreau to the finished beer? Or some other orange liqueur? I have some saison that I was thinking about adding orange flavor to.
That sounds like one expensive way to get orange flavour to your brew :)
 
Thanks everyone. I think I might put some peel at the end of the boil and also a small amount of vodka sanitised orange to the fermenter!

I did exactly this! Probably waaaay too much for one gallon but I don't do things by halves.

20.7g of orange peel strips @5 mins in the boil. I used a peeler and carefully made sure it was just the zest (no white bits). I slapped them to release the oils before adding.

Also added 9.84g of smaller bits of peel to the fermenter, after they soaked in vodka for 5 mins.
