2025 Happy hour zoom

Sorry folks, completely slipped my mind

Apparently there were a few on for a bit. I didn't get home until after 6. I started bullshitting with people at the brewery, and the next thing I knew it was time to call Uber. I'm glad I got to talk to Josh for a little bit.
Uber was cheap, and I am glad I decided not to drive yesterday. I'm OK with 2, but I knew it was going to be more than that.

@Sunfire96 Turns out Amazon sells Tonic Syrup. They suggest mixing with seltzer 5 to 1, so that $28 liter of syrup would make 6 liters of tonic. I can get a 2 liter bottle at Publix for $1, so 20 liters would run around $10. Not much of a value proposition there, like ten times more expensive.

Now, if you happened to grow a cinchona tree, you could use its bark as the source for quinine.

Good to know! I was toying with the idea of having gin and tonic (my favorite cocktail) on tap. I can supply water and carbonation, so I was thinking it'd be cheaper to cut out buying fully made tonic but sounds like it's not. Thanks, Don!

I've had tonic syrup for that reason. I used it per glass though, mixing with sparkling water on the spot. It was not bad at all, but it was not cheaper than buying ready to drink tonic.
Since the price of tonic has gone up quite a bit it may be worth looking into it again

Was the brewer drawn for the Q3 community recipe?

Sorry I missed it! I was at a family picnic with my one remaining uncle and my cousins. I had planned to leave early enough to join the meeting but, wound up staying longer.

Me o_O I've got it whittled down to 3 options. Any preferences?
Yes. Beer.
An awesome IPA would perhaps supplant my recent ‘fatigue’ of IPAs. A lower gravity ale is always nice, particularly if it’s a style that I’ve haven’t brewed yet, of which there are several (but a Sierra Nevada clone is not on that list). And I am always partial to dark beers, but that’s just me.

Hm. Perhaps not as helpful as I’d planned.

Yep, definitely your favourite...
Other than that, something simple :) or easy enough to adjust to noble hops and easy grain bill
