Recipe Builder down? Fermentable not saving

Couple months shy of an entire year this feature is still broken. Is there any hope this will get fixed (I mean it did work at one time) or do we start canceling our membership and moving on to other brew software that works?

Pale Ale Malt vs Standard 2-row?

I bag sacks of Great Western 2-Row. I prefer the flavor of 2-Row over pale malt. Pluss Pale malt is a European thing and costs more. I also buy sacks of Great Western Munich because I love Munich malt and go through a lot of it. I'm lucky I have a home brew store I can get it at. ... I do...

    BIAB efficiency

I'm late to the party to respond but I have the same Clawhammer system. I get on average 70-72% brewhouse efficiency on a full volume mash. As other's said you can mill on the most narrow gap setting. Just tighten it down as close as the rollers will go. Add two handfuls of rice hulls to...

    CARBONATION FROM PRESSURE FERMENTING

I'm late to the party but Dr. Hans did a video on this at one point with the math. You would have to pressure ferment at a very high level to get a fully carbonated beer at the end after chilling. The problem with that is fermenting at high pressure is detrimental to the yeast. It will stress...

Recipe Builder down? Fermentable not saving

I have tried to enter grain / Fermentables for a new recipe several times. I am trying to set the goal to 5% abv. But even with no goal it's not saving the fermentable and gives an error that it can't save and wipes everything out and puts Honey Malt as the only malt which I Didn't even...

Water Levels are low. First batch with my own recipe. A few questions for some more experienced brewers

You can do it either way. You can water down the wort if it is too concentrated (Brewers Friend has a calculator for that) or you can do a full volume mash as you say with 2.5 gallons if you expect to lose 1 gallon to grain absorption and 1/2 gallon to boil off leaving you with 1 gallon at the...

Question: Pressure Fermenting - Can you bottle this beer? How do you prime it?

I do this all the time. Warm beer under 15 PSI spunding. I just bottle with the normal 3 grams of sugar per 12oz bottle. I do try to release all the pressure a week before setting the spunding to zero. Warm pressure is not the same as cold pressure. I found 15 PSI at room temp doesn't carb...

Graduated to BIAB, struggling with efficiency

Double-mill your grain. Especially if you are using the mill at the homebrew store. Are you using an electric system? Try an overnight mash - it all but guarantees you will extract all the sugar that is possible. I've started overnight mashing for every beer I make now. Don't need to...

    Scaleing a resipe

I do this all the time. I write my recipes as 5gal but scale them to 3 gal. Just watch the AA's on the hops. I usually have to adjust the hops manually.
