Alternative to wheat for extract recipe

Hi all. I have an AG recipe that I want to brew using extract. However, my question concerns the wheat in the recipe. I understand that you can't steep wheat, so wondered what the solution would be? I've been told the wheat in the recipe is mainly for head retention, so was considering swapping...

So, I've done the boil and it's now in the FV. It took the bits of advice from you all and, fingers crossed, it will come out okay. Thanks for the help, I've definitely learnt a thing or two for next time!

    Recipe advice - Citrusy IPA

Thank you. I forgot to mention. It's only an 11.5 litre (3 US gallon) batch if that makes a difference? Belgian beer - secondary ferment in keg?

Okay, great. Thanks, that's really helpful. I'm talking about the basic Young's white pressure barrel, but I assume that will work the same way.

Belgian beer - secondary ferment in keg?

Thanks all, I really appreciate the responses. Just to follow up with one more question: if I transfer to the barrel, add the sugar and lees and leave to secondary ferment, does it matter that the barrel does not have an airlock? Should I open / loosen the lid every now and again to release the...

Belgian beer - secondary ferment in keg?

Hi everyone Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm very new to this! Hopefully I'm not missing an protocols in asking for help... Anyway, I done a few "kits" and am now brewing a Belgian style beer. However, I only have one fermenting bin... is it possible to do the second fermentation...
