I do mash longer than an hour, generally closer to 2 hours. Seems to help me a lot. As far as boiling goes, I am always higher in SG due to a smallish pot. So no need to boil longer (in fact, I keep topping the pot up with hot water during the boil)

I don't but I find I have no issues with the ones that come with it due to the shape of the keg. At least with the 8 litre one as thats the only type I have. The dip tube sits on the higher part of the bottom. Only other thing I can think of is to cut the dip tube a bit shorter, so it "hangs" in...

Which styles would you boil for just 30 minutes? I would be keen to give it a try. It's not so much the time gain, but more the use of gas as we gotta buy it in bottles
