Who do you cheer for?

Another 9 runs in last night's sweep
Good pace hopefully they can keep it up against the Rays
Well go Yankees I guess, last year's flash in the pan folded up like a cheap tent this year...

Toronto Maple Leafs game with my daughter
Slice and a beer $30, popcorn... free

Packers got robbed a few times by the officials. I'm normally bad luck too. I didn't watch the Bucs game, and they actually won. May be I shouldn't watch any more.
I was with my girlfriend on Saturday, and I only caught the overtimes for the UCF game at a bar. I thought initially they would get their ass kicked. I almost shit my pants when they won LOL.

Are you going to the game?
I'm cheering for the Brew Crew!
I wish! Unfortunately 44 years of pent-up desire for Brewers' World Series tickets has made them rare and expensive! Even the watch parties at American Family Field in Milwaukee are sold out and secondary market tickets are $300! Many Brewer's fans actually found it easier and cheaper to fly to Tampa for the games there!

I guess the Rays didn't finish on top, but my alma mater sure did have a HUGE night in double overtime last night :)
As the start time of the World Series game was approaching I was wondering what they would do if the UCF-BYU game went to a third OT. If it had, I would have hated to be the guy who had to make that decision.

My friend (a Rays fan) won 2 free tickets to Game 3 and kept texting me from the field showing how great her seats were. When the brewers got 8 runs in one inning, she texted me and said “Well at least I’m having fun!”. I told her she deserved that since she didn’t invite me and I was watching it on TV.

But anyway, she said there were thousands and thousands of Brewer fans, many from Wisconsin because for $1000 (or less) you could get a game ticket and a flight on Southwest. She’s very gregarious and apparently made friends and had a few beers with them.

Love to see a small market team win.
I hope we can keep what we have but, professional sports is about the money, so I expect a few players will be lured away by massive contracts by other teams. I can't blame them either...unless they go to the Cubs!

We were talking about that here. We figure there were so many tickets for Brewers fans to buy because...
1) Rays fans aren't that passionate about baseball
2) They've been in the World Series recently (which would explain #1)
3) Tampa's an expensive place to live, so better to sell your tickets to pay the mortgage

Edit. Forgot one:
4) Snowbirds and transplants from other parts of the U.S. mean their sports loyalty is with other teams

There may not even be baseball next year! League wants a salary cap so that teams like the Brewers can compete with the likes of the Dodgers, and the Yankees. Even Toronto is a "larger market" team, but the likes of Pittsburgh, St. Louis, and many others just can't compete for free agents with a free market.
