"Milli" works fine for milliliter, but why not teniliter, hundrediliter, thousandiliter?

ummm a millilitre is 1/1000 of a litre guys a standard beer glass here is 425 millilitres and a megalitre is 1 million litres
there are other units not often used for liquids in the metric system but it's really not that hard
