What are you doing with homebrew today?

So can I......

It’s been about three years or so. I brewed a bass “clone“ using I think what was in BYO seems like it turned out well. But I wanted to redo that recipe using Thames valley yeast and adding some extra gypsum to my water.
Do you care to share the recipe you’re using? Are used to love Bass when I could get it.

I kegged yesterday. The beer tasted great, flat out of the fermenter, but the alcohol was a little high. I did not intend 6%.
No white shit, thank God, but it will get chilly for a couple of nights.

Sure. I used this exact recipe, but substituted Safale S-04 yeast:

I believe this is the same recipe as the one in Szamatulski's "Clone Brews" book.

What have I been doing with homebrew: recently? Getting annoyed :(

First off, the closest homebrewing supply store closed so I'm stuck ordering EVERYTHING online and shipping rates in Canada are kind of nuts. There are some suppliers that offer free shipping if you spend over a certain amount, so I would have to plan months of brewing in advance to take advantage of that (I only make 4-9L at a time, which is all I really want to do at the moment).

Secondly, I know it's part of the process, but I made few things recently that I had to dump out because they just weren't worth drinking. I got frustrated and took a couple months hiatus. But, I had been trying different styles to see what works with our local water (work with what you have rather than fight it). So, it's natural then that some styles are more suited than others. And there are distinct patterns in what has been working well and what hasn't. So, I'm not sure why I was annoyed, I learned things, as I set out to do, haha.

Anyway, got over my annoyance, and I'm back at it now. Made a witbeir last weekend. Should be ready to bottle pretty soon here.

The stores seem to be closing all over. Many members have said their store has closed, my closest one , Northern< closed its doors as well and now take forever to ship anything. ( Morebeer is MUCH better) My closest shop just opened a while ago but is about 60 miles.

Thanks for that @Sandy Feet! It's finally above 0°F (-18°C) now and I keep staring at your screenshot of temperatures and almost feel warm

It is all what you are used to. I had three blankets on the bed and the heat on the last couple of nights bitching my ass off LOL. And, getting pissy when my tropical flowers die:)
It will come around. I'll be the one in the summer sweating my rear end off while it will be nice at some of the places where y'all are.
Actually, later this week will be more my style, but it gets cold again for a few days next week. Typical Florida in the winter.

Monitoring. Moved my fermenter to a warmer spot yesterday. Should be finished up today.

Moved my fermenter to a cold spot in the garage. Probably put in the garage tomorrow and then keg it Monday. Garage should be in the low 40s or colder

My garage is 28F today

I kegged Janet's Brown Ale (https://www.brewersfriend.com/homebrew/recipe/view/1539077/janet-s-brown-ale). Initially had a problem getting the flow to the fermenter started, probably due to dry hop addition plugging floating dip tube. I don't remember who here suggested pumping CO2 through liquid out port on the fermenter cleared the clog. But I thank them because it worked great. After that it was smooth sailing.
