Chevalier Malt

Anyone have any experience with using this malt? I might give it a go in a hoppy Pale ale or West Coast IPA.
no experience with it. I might try it on a belgian single or a tripel? Crisps website recommends English ipa or english ale?

interesting, they list it as a base malt. I wonder what it costs per lb...

im not sure that i would run it at 100% as it doesnt have a great DP. i would blend it with 2R and obviously Voss(jk)

Looks like it is readily available in the States - cheapest I found was $2.99/lb at Hopcraft Supply. Looks like an interesting malt - since most of my brewing is lower (less than 6%) alcohol and generally on the English Ale styles, it could add interesting malty flavor!

Have you tried Ashburne Malt? It's good for English style beers.

I love Chevalier Used it for probably 5 brews or so. Maris otter on steroids for sure. Perfect by itself as it adds some sweetness a crystal malt might.

$2.99lb? Yikes!
I would like to hear how that one comes out though.
I just looked up Otter, and it was only $1.76 at the HB store.
