Any reptile identifiers out there?

The light color between the black bands is greenish and not that silvery tone

The bands seem to be a similar shape, but it's missing the black stripe between the eyes. Since it's a bigger one it may be shifting to ita adult coloration? Sometimes there's a big variation in colors among a single snake species

Seeing that today is a move wood day...I'll go with rat snake...

Not a copperhead and not a rattlesnake, so I think you're good! Do ya'll get cottonmouths up there? (Not that I think it could be that, I'm just curious)

Yes though rare...a rattler is more likely. I have seen one in my 40 years around here and that was 40 miles south of here...lots of Banded Water Snakes that look and act like them but only one positive ID'ed Copperhead

I remember unloading hay when I was pretty young. Garter snake found its way out of a bale and Grandma went right up the side of the wagon...

I'm not fond of snakes.....

my kids breeded mini boa constrictors for years, i'm not a fan either but in the end the cost of feeding mice got to them and recently sold all

Snakes are like spiders, our global ecosystem would collapse without them. We'd be buried in insect and rodent pests and agriculture would never recover. But I understand that some people don't need to look at them to appreciate them :)

Oh, but I appreciate them ;)
And am fascinated by them, but I still don't like 'm!
I generally let them be, sometimes I move them (only the non-venomous, with the longest snake thongs that were available).
Except for black mamba's! They gotta go!

Venomous snakes make me very uncomfortable. Fortunately there's only 2 species where I live

I wish....
Black mamba
Green mamba
Boomslang
Vine snake
Spitting cobra's
Poff adder
Twig snake
Stiletto snake

And pythons
