Buying an Ebike.

Wow! That's really fab there Ben!
Now you need a bitty basket on the back to bring home the takeaways...

Thanks Don it will have to take place behind Matilda she's riding shotgun at the back you see:D.
Well she can hold onto whatever you need to carry then. Pro Tip: tape it to her until she's older :p

This is what I have been doing.

I strap the bag on the front handle bars as well as her nappy bag it just slings over top of that bag. It's an insulated pouch called a digery doona bag made out of leather sheep's wool .

Anyhow I also bolted on a front tire guard to keep the bag from getting ripped into the tire.
A bit of clear perspex and aluminium 10mm angle with the perspex riveted to it.

I have had my e-bike for a couple months now. Kind of a dumb idea to buy a bike in the middle of winter in Minnesota. Well its been thawing a little bit around here so I thought I would take it out for a spin.

At Lake Bilsby park.
The snow melt is flowing big time

There are some great bike trails here that go for miles. However, I didn't get far.

Nice mate a Folding one I see.
Cool hope you enjoy your time on it.
A different way at getting around and seeing the world your in aye.
Man there are some monster Ebikes out there on the Web!

I'm currently in bicycle country (the Netherlands), but it looks like there are hardly any "normal" bikes left. They are all e-bikes these days. Still looking roughly the same, so hardly any racing and mountain bikes.
Bit of an adjustment. I used to check who is on the bicycle and assess their seed. But they go a heck of a lot faster these days o_O

Cool I can see Ebikes catching on here too and E schooters man their everywhere.

I rekon sound emitters are made mandatory even if it's music just to let people and wildlife know your cooking through! :)

We also used latex balloons for it. Didn't last as long as a Tom Seaver rookie card though...

We used hockey cards, pretty sure a wasted a Bobby Orr rookie card on trying to sound like a VW Beetle!

I never thought I'd consider one until now.
Just got back from Hilton Head for a little vacation and we ride bikes there a lot.
One day was over 14 miles.
I'm seeing them everywhere and thinking of ride more if I had one.
I'll need to look into it.

Not only "E" bikes but E cars there's a bloke here that does Electric Car conversions! Yup he removes the old petrol Engine and replaces it with an electric drive motor and battery kit 30g most are going for.

After these fuel hikes he is working his butt out trying to cover orders.

have you priced lithium batteries lately, I've always said the battery is the next biggest invention but paying $500 to $1000 for a 12 volt battery is just making someone else rich and using the environment as an excuse

Car batteries go for twenty or thirty times that.

I actually like the gasoline powered ones best.
We had them growing up.
Mopeds!

Ehh, looking is fine but making a battery is bad news. Lead acid maybe or one if them lemon or potato things for the kiddies is fine but those high density lithium things are real sensitive and even the professional made ones love to catch fire. See Boeing 787, Chevy Volt, Samsung phones, or any number of those crazy hoverboards.
