Currently the Export of a Recipe to TXT or HTML formats follow the same format.
This is a sample of the TXT output of a recipe:
HOME BREW RECIPE:
Title: Ale-Ian Redeye
Author: Alan Harper
Brew Method: All Grain
Style Name: Irish Red Ale
Boil Time: 60 min
Batch Size: 20 liters (fermentor volume)
This is the Recipe Edit page for the same recipe:
As you can see the exported Style Name is in fact the Sub Category. The actual Style is Scottish and Irish Ale and is the true STYLE name as defined by the BJCP Style Guide.
The Guide also describes another Irish Red Ale but that is under a different Style section (15) of Irish Ales. There is confusion as there are several style Categories under different Style Names.
It would avoid some confusion if BOTH Style and Sub Category were exported together with the BJCP reference. For the above example the output would be:
HOME BREW RECIPE:
Title: Ale-Ian Redeye
Author: Alan Harper
Brew Method: All Grain
Style: Scottish and Irish Ale
Style Category: 9D Irish Red Ale
Boil Time: 60 min
Batch Size: 20 liters (fermentor volume)
If there are reasons for NOT altering the definition sequence due to requirements by other applications - though I can't think of any - then it could be useful to append the correct Style and Sub Category references at the end of the export after the NOTES section.
