Heat water added to kettle (equipment estimates 15.1 L) 8.2
Mash volume with grains (equipment estimates 15.1 L) 8.4
Grain absorption losses (steeping) -0.3
Volume increase from sugar/extract (early additions) 1.1
Pre boil volume (equipment estimates 15.8 L) 9
Boil off losses -5.7
Hops absorption losses (first wort, boil, aroma) -0.1
Post boil volume 10

WARNING: Kettle losses > 2% detected which throw off OG calculation for extract/partial mash recipes in batch target 'fermentor' mode. Solution: Reduce kettle losses, misc losses and hops absorption in equipment profile, OR set batch target to 'kettle' and do a full wort boil. See batch target FAQ.

Notes

Steeped the grains at 65°C and raised the temperature to 72°C over 10 minutes. Steeped for 30 minutes total.

Couldn't chill the wort quickly enough and ended up pitching yeast at a too high temperature. Beer will probably be high in esters and diacetyl.

OG was measured as 1.052 at 32°C = 1.055 at 20°C (hydrometer calibration). Brewed on 16th of October.
