Notes

Beer Description
OG: 1.064, FG: 1.014, IBU 65, SRM 30, ABV 6.5%
----------------------

----------------
Grain
Steep dark grains in cold water to get color not tannis. This worked really well
---------------------
Mashing
No problem with mashing...sparged only in 20 minutes instead of 75...have to sparge slower
----------------------
Boiling
Had to boil longer to get gravity!
----------------------
Cooling
Cooled over night with ice and pitched the yeast the next day on beer. Started fermenting only 1 day later..wort was maybe a bit cold at the start..?
----------------------
Fermentation
Decided to use: Fermentis US-05
NB....use only 1/2 packet..check!!!!

used the whole packet! What the hell~read next time what you have written.

Could also use:
WLP001 or
Wyeast 1056 or

-------------------------------------
Bottling
Kegged into corney. Will check pressure.

-----------------------------------
Notes for later use
----------------------

  • might want it darker, lets see after
  • more flavour hops or dry hopping, maybe?
  • add the salts next time to make the beer hop forward
