Lol...gonna take one for the team I guess.....in the words of a former boss I had...if you don't try, you failed twice!
Amber ale in the afternoon light, with Peet the cat. He’s lonely, because our other cat Polly has been boarded at the vet in an attempt to get her through an infection.
I had a couple of my Dark Milds with the pH and gravity samples of the smash I made today...Munich Cluster...I just realized I didn't take a single picture today!
First pour of my Mild. This turned out super well. Nice hint of chocolate and roast. Slight malt sweetness but finish is dry. I will do this one again soon.
Low abv. Balanced so not “bitter” like an English bitter. Dark milds are well dark. Use English ingredients. Today they’ll have roast or chocolate malt. My basic explanation
Yup low abv ballanced English session beer https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mild_ale Mines not gunna ve so dark this run but their Amber brown to dark harrybrew69 even done a ruby mild recently which looked lovely
Lower than usual I went for 1.5. These would be served on cask traditionally so low carbonation. @The Brew Mentor you served yours on cask?
I calculated it to 2 volumes for the cask, but I actually like it better on the draft system at 2.5 ish volumes.
I finished an oatmeal IPA and then a west coast IPA and now I am working on a Sour wheat.....I think the Oatmeal cream IPA so far is the best of the lot
