    I had a couple of my Dark Milds with the pH and gravity samples of the smash I made today...Munich Cluster...I just realized I didn't take a single picture today!

    First pour of my Mild. This turned out super well. Nice hint of chocolate and roast. Slight malt sweetness but finish is dry. I will do this one again soon. 5568085E-2B0D-4E1F-B407-13A07F94E81D.jpeg

    I have not had a "mild". What are the characteristics of a mild?

    Low abv. Balanced so not “bitter” like an English bitter. Dark milds are well dark. Use English ingredients. Today they’ll have roast or chocolate malt.

    Mines not gunna ve so dark this run but their Amber brown to dark harrybrew69 even done a ruby mild recently which looked lovely

    Lower than usual I went for 1.5. These would be served on cask traditionally so low carbonation. @The Brew Mentor you served yours on cask?

    I calculated it to 2 volumes for the cask, but I actually like it better on the draft system at 2.5 ish volumes.
