What are you doing with homebrew today?

While brewing in the snow and ice had some potential for another story haha. Especially on an empty stomach.
You can start the Polar Bear brewing club:)
Maybe I can start the Sweat Your Ass Off brewing club in the summer when the humidity is 95% and it is 80 before the sun even comes up.

Beer lines cleaned, sanitized and now waiting for me to brew more beer.
Keg cleaning in process.
Watching the Maple Stupids with a Dunkel while keg 2 soaks in PBW mixture.

Well watching the Canadian game now and the announcer made a good point
It used to be the national teams used to live and train together
Now with women's professional hockey they play for different teams and come together for the Olympics
Also International players play on those professional teams and bring that experience home to help their home teams
This helps level the field
Well that's what I think they were saying

I have another kit and this is the malt. I think it is probably the same as regular extract but with more advertising. I've not made an Irish Red Ale before so I have nothing to hold it against. Fingers crossed!!!

Missed that game.
Between visiting Barb's Mum and an afternoon of "must be done" items, I was otherwise occupied until like 5:30

actually Switzerland was doing better than expected
at least Mauer was, she blocked 56 SOG the Canadian goalie really did't have much to do about 6 SOG
SUI kept getting boarding penalties 5, some of which I wish weren't called they were doing what they had to to stop the onslaught
all told pretty good game until the 3rd pd

Brewday tomorrow. Should be nice weather for February. Going brew a 5 gallon batch which is rare. Going with a 50/50 mix of Barke pils and Vienna. 20-5 ibu of a noble hop, 34/70 and roughly 1.044 OG so I can keep it under 5%. Last time I did a 5 gallon batch I did a double mash due to my kettle size. Tomorrow I’m going to use a Gatorade cooler for the first time. I am still going to use my brew bags and just hold the button down to drain after the mash. I adjusted my efficiency down about 5%. I top off at the end anyway so i should hit the number o want even if I have a touch less beer.
