Water remaining checkmark

In a brew session under the mash tab, there is box called "Water Volume Tracking" . In said box, there is a value called "Mash Remaining" which has a gray check mark next to it.

Is there some sort of log that needs to be added to turn it green?

Yes! And a very useful tool it is too. Refer to the snip.

You need to add events to the Water Management. Every time you do it subtracts water until you get a check mark.
