Hello everyone.
How can i calgulate the water loss of boiling and mashing ?
there is any guide ?
can anyone help me?

My water surface is 0,3217 m3

Mashing will always lose water to absorbing. How much depends on the grain type and amount, so predicting it is pretty tough. Most people just measure gravity after you are done and top up as needed.

As far your boil off rate, that is system dependant. But 1/2 to 1 gal an hour is a good starting point

If you use biab, measure the weight of the drained bag. Substract the malt weight and you know the absorption.

For boil off, just try out your kettle without grains. Running boil.
(I was going to say Do a dry run, but that sounds wrong ;) )

Boil some water for an hour to see what boil off rate you get. Surface area us an important factor, but there are so many other factors, just trying it is far simpler (and likely more accurate) than calculating it.

Altitude and humidity make a difference too. With my 16 gallon kettle in Florida with biab, a gallon for grain, a gallon for boil off. You can always start with something really forgiving like a Brown that tastes good with both low and high alcohol, take a gallon for each, and take notes for the next batch.
