A small and inconvenient problem with the Water calculations:
I entered a new water profile a few days ago and today, sat down to get my next recipes up and running.
Two recipes using the same water profile and the same target water (light & hoppy) with exactly the same grist (grains, weight, manufacturer, everything).
Literally within an hour of doing the first recipe, updating the water additions into the recipe I then started the same process with the next recipe. Brand new, same profile, same style, same everything. Add the grain bill (same as before), add the hops (different hops), go to water calcs to get the profile. Use the same additions that I used in the previous recipe and I get completely different results......aaarrrgghhh!!!!

Can you post the recipes? Be sure to make them public in the recipe editor. Maybe we'll be able to spot something. But I have also similar issues with the recipe editor/water calc combo. So don't hold your breath waiting for me.

How different where the numbers out of curiosity

I see the salt/mineral additions are different between the two recipes. I assume they were the same before you needed to adjust the 2nd recipe?
When you created the 2nd recipe, did you click the New Beer Recipe from the menu bar and manually add everything or did you copy the 1st recipe and just change the hops?

OK, went back to a direct spreadsheet comparison and started by editing the recipe and going to the water calculations.
Turns out that I was using the wrong water report on the second recipe before I even started additions........

It turns out that putting this thread up and having you come back to me, made me go back to the simplest form of quality check to evaluate an error, for which you have my thanks.
You can sometimes miss the simplest of user interface errors when you are expecting and issue.

Issue now resolved. Recipes are the same. All I have to do now is brew them, ferment them and drink them......always the fun parts

BTW. If you haven't tried Barbe Rouge (that was the recipe hop addition first time around. 8.9%AA: 80g 15.87IBU @ 20 mins; 125g 8.16IBU @ 5 mins), this is not a bad recipe to introduce yourself to it.
My problem with this has been that all of my friends want to drink it and my wife (who doesn't like beer) has put a reserve order on the remaining bottles for her personal consumption.....

Been there....done that.....many times! :D

Yup. Just 7 seconds after I click Send on an email asking for help… I figure out the cause. PEBKAC.
