Watch Thread Defaults

Wasn't sure where to post this.

I can't figure out how to change the default for watching threads. As I am active in the forum I don't want to receive an email every time I post a comment, or a thread. I realize that I can click, click, click to not watch a thread when I make a post, but it is a bit of a pain. Is there a way that I can change the default on this?

Holy hell thank you for this. I looked around for how to do this a bit ago but all I did was turn off the notifications in my dashboard.
Now to somehow get rid of all the other junk email I get...
