Brew day complete! Lessons learned:
- When mashing in, add some of the water and stir. Then add more and stir. Stop when rest temperature reached.
- Repeat for second rest.
- Repeat for any subsequent rests.
- Brewing in a dry thundershower can lead to erratic boils due to wind whipping the flame.
- Don't forget to start your starter.
- It takes 1.4 gallons of propane using my system and process to do a mash and a 90-minute boil.
And, without further lessons-learned, Wolfie and Stanzie is in the fridge. Zum Wohl!
