Tomorrow's brew session

double milled my malt in an attempt to improve my efficiency
never again.
I got a stuck sparge, what a nightmare. I did recover, by stirring the mash, while filtering to the boil kettle. It worked but cost me an extra hour of stress.
My numbers still hit, I'm hoping I don't take a big flavor hit.

use rice hulls, you can also condition your grain by letting it soak in water for a half hour before you mash

Never had a stuck sparge ...upside to using a bag i guess :D Keep in mind i don't bother with rice hulls even when using a load of rye and still hit ~80% brewhouse unless its a big grainbill

so your solution? or are you just undermining me? ;)
