I'm a bit interested in saving a penny or two and came across a source of cheaper ingredients....

25kg Flaked Barley £8.90 - $11
25kg Flaked Maize £9.60 - $12
25kg Flaked Wheat £9.40 - $12
25kg Brewers Yeast £45.00 - $56
5kg Molasses £4.00 - $5

If I can't use this stuff in beer, I've got plenty for breakfast!

I thought you were scaling down your brew not up lol!:D
Yea definitely buying in bulk is best heck if you can buy a whole pallet it's even cheaper again. I'd love to know what the big breweries get there base malt for per kg:rolleyes:.

I joined the American homebrewers association and they give decent discounts at homebrew stores, breweries, pubs, etc. Not sure if there's an equivalent in the UK or elsewhere.

To Trialben's point, maybe do a group buy with some brewing buddies to help share the upfont cost?
