I like turning on the exhaust fan, hearing the whirring sound as it spins up. Smelling the hops is always good.
The scent the hops give off as they're just wetted by the hot wort....
The aroma of the grain mashing, the sweetness slowly changing clarity as it circulates.
Sharing brews from previous brew days with fellow homebrewers
It's the malty tones from the kettle!
Watching the cold break particulate drop out of suspension is always fun.
When the hops hit the kettle, it just smells delicious.
For me is when I am done cleaning my kettle. Since I am electric I have to clean the two copper elements thoroughly. Then sit back with a homebrew...
...is being able to enjoy a previous brew day while making my next great beer!
