Hey yall,

Looking for feedback and thoughts on this Red IPA that I am planning to brew on Friday of this week.

Was looking to do more of a hop forward old school recipe to back up the malty bones of this guy. Let me know what you think!

My goal was a west coast style red IPA. I have more modern hops on hand as well, but I thought the old school west coast ipa hops sounded tasty with the malty backbone. I could sub in some Ekuanot Cryo for the Cascade and save some volume and cost.

I love the 14SRM with that Red X it will be blood red in the light.

This was the original version that I brewed last spring.

Hey! I like the recipe, and the concept in general! I think you'll love the color. Only thing I might consider changing is dropping the crystal malt since a 40% redx malt bill will give you lots of body and some residual sweetness already, but with that hop schedule you'll be fine either way. Looking forward to seeing pictures of this one!
