Just bottled up a 6 litre batch of 'Brakspear' bitter. A loosely followed and tinkered with recipie for this Oxfordshire brewed bitter.
Judging from the aroma and a taste prior to bottling i am hoping this is going to be my best attempt at a bitter so far.
6 litre batch biab(dunk sparge), 90 min mash, 70 min boil
OG 1.036 FG .1.007/8. ABV 3.75%.ibu 30.52.srm 9.81.
660 grms Irish pale malt
310 grms Irish stout malt
27 grms Crystal malt (90L)
8 grms Black malt
20 grms Flaked barley
8 grm challenger pellets 70 min
1/2 protofloc tablet 15 min
4 grm Styrian goldings 2 min
1/2 pack Gervin yeast re hydrated
4 grm Styrian goldings dry hop 5 days
