Hi,
First time user of Brewer's Friend, and newish AG brewer.

I'm wanting to try a clone of Sierra Nevada's Old Chico Crystal Wheat. I've plugged in the known ingredients into the recipe builder, and played around until I got the style and IBU close. From the SN website, they show:

65% Wheat, 35% Pale 2-row
Hops: Perle (bittering) & Crystal (finishing)
Ale Yeast
4.8% ABV, OG 12 plato, FG 2.7 plato

So I came up with the below. I only put in a few hops to get the IBU in line with the style, whereas SN have an IBU of 26 (so I can up this if I want, and may do, but don't want an overly hoppy beer).

I had to add DME to get the ABV up as originally I only got around 3%.

Any thoughts or tips on the recipe before I give it a go?

Re: Old Chico Crystal Wheat colne

I don't recommend more wheat than 2 row, the ratio should be no more than 50/50 but I prefer 70/30 Two row wheat combination, it just doesn't taste right otherwise
