Matching Fermentables during BeerXML Import

Hello all,
I was curious if there was any information as to exactly how fermentables are "matched" during an Import. I have BeerXML from another product that contains fermentables that match exactly by name to fermentables in Brewer's Friend, but the import doesn't identify a match. Any guidance would be appreciated.

It appears that unless every single attribute matches exactly, i.e. color, yield, origin, etc, the import will not recognize a match? That's kind of a bummer. I was hoping that if perhaps some of the fields in the XML were missing or null, it would match only on the fields that were present...
