Making IPA from Tripel Kit

    Hey,

    quick question: would it be stupid to use a tripel kit (a can of LME) and ferment it with us-05 and then maybe dryhop to get a hoppy pale ale or IPA. Maybe for a "real" IPA i should add some hops during boil also. Will do a mini mash.

    I just don't trust myselve with fenolic tripel yeasts at the moment untill i get my chlorophenol flavours sorted out...

    Assuming you have all the numbers worked out, it sounds like a brilliant idea.
