Thinking about a barrel of Irish Red for Christmas. I've not done one before - though I have had a go at a Scottish one - so I came up with the following recipe.

https://www.brewersfriend.com/homebrew/recipe/view/760592/ale-ian-redeye

It ticks all the boxes in the builder but I have been there before and things did not turn out as I had hoped.

I'd be interested in other's thoughts before I cue it up - I have a Punk IPA and a standard bitter to brew this week and they will fill my fermentation fridge for a week or so.

Personally I like a small amount of roasted barley in an Irish Red to get the color right and add the smallest amount of complexity. Looks good regardless.
