Would anybody want the ability to buy a recipe through BF? My thought is to do fulfillment through your nearest home brew store (or the store you prefer to order from that is part of the program). This gets into a lot of e-commerce issues like calculating shipping, keeping prices and quantities on hand up to date. We'd probably start with something basic to begin with since our mission is to stay focused on brewing tools.

Input appreciated.

I definitely would. When I create a recipe I always do it in Brewers Friend first. Then I shop around online to see what it would cost me and buy from the cheapest supplier (also one I trust). This often times takes me several hours to shop around depending on the recipe.

If I could click a button similarly to the "Brew It" button, like "Buy It" ;) that would save me a lot of time. After a while if I knew the prices were cheap and the ingredients were high quality, that would most likely be the way I'd do it.

I remember a forum post about "Brewmasters Warehouse" that did something similar. A lot of people loved the recipe builder and their ordering process, which is similar to what you mention, but over the years their shipping times and customer service dropped off. If you could maintain a standard of quick shipping and quality products I'm sure you could pick up a lot of new people who have lost faith in this site.

I second both these replies. Exactly what I would have said. I'm especially interested in this because living in Hawaii, my options for supplies are limited and many online vendors don't offer reasonable shipping rates.
