How to rename a completed brew session

I changed up a beer recipe during a brew session. I need to rename the beer session or rather rename the recipe.

the brew session is the same name as the recipe, rename the recipe and the brew session changes, now if its a snapshot I wouldn't rename it

If you made a snapshot for your brew session, you can rename the snapshot and change any part of the snapshot recipe without affecting the original recipe. If you did not make a snapshot, make a copy of the original recipe. Then you can make changes to the recipe tied to your brew session, and the 'copy' can become the new original recipe.
