How long will cask ale untapped

I have a 4.5 plastic pin unopened with a 4.5%abv hoppy pale ale in it. How long will it last unopened?

With me, it would last about 3 days...

I've kept pins for 3-4 months without any problems.

+1 for months, assuming it was full. I try to leave mine for a minimum of a month, they seem to get better if I can give them some time.

Thank you both. Going to risk leaving one until Xmas I think and drink the other now. At least that way I've one to fill for the holidays and if the other is still ok it'll be a good Christmas.

That will give you good reference points to see how the beer changes over time. I have a recipe that's good to go after a week or so in the cask but if I can give it a month it really mellows out, it's leaving them alone for a month that's the problem!
