Hi
Had an invite to join this - I guess because I use Brewer's Friend online - so why not?
Been brewing beer for about 50 years (on and off - but mainly on!) Until recently, I've mostly done all-grain traditional British style ales. The new (at least to me) American & New Zealand hops have really opened my horizons. For my taste, beer is mostly about hops, although I can't deny that nice malt balance is also so important!
I must say that Scotland is a great place to brew! My house hardly ever gets too hot to ferment my style of beer, so I only need to think about heating, not cooling! And not to many horrid little flies to infect the brew (although plenty of midgies to bite me!)
