Hi,

I'm new here and fairly new to brewing. I used to make up kits bak in the day and they were pretty grim. As my finances improved, I was able to buy "proper" beer, so I stopped making my own.
Craft beers have really caught my imagination and I'm now back after a hiatus of about 35 years. I'm (re)starting with a kit with a view to getting fermentation right and in due course I will get a Grainfather all in one system to make all-grain beers.
In terms of style, I like most "English" ales and I have a particular fondness for hoppy pale ales. There's a good chance that my first all-grain brew will be a SMaSH brew with plenty of hops...

I live in Swindon, which is roughly 70 mile west of London.

So that's me.

I'm looking forward to learning loads and sharing my brewing journey with you.

Cheers!

Mark

When you say getting the fermentation right, you are stepping into the correct ballpark. You can ferment anything with sugar in it BUT without a controlled fermentation, you can't say what it will taste like. Welcome!
Cheers!
