Hi Everyone,

I am new to home brewing. I got a Mr. Beer kit for Christmas and already brewed and drank part of an Long Play IPA. Found it was way to bitter for my taste so I ended up throwing out three bottles. I started a Coopers Lager that has been in a primary FV for three weeks now so this weekend I'm going to bottle it. I'm hoping that it is going to taste better than the IPA. I was told that I should not touch the bottles for a least two weeks, does that sound about right?

Welcome!

That's correct, you have to wait for it to carbonate. The longer you can wait is normally better

Welcome. Are you old enough to remember a race track (trotter and pacers) on the Wellend side of the skyway bridge? I don't think it's there anymore.

Hi socerdad. I've only been in St. Kitts since last April. Originally from Hamilton. Are you from here.

Welcome to the forum!

IPAs are getting hoppier over the years. Looks like Long Play is 70 IBUs. Perhaps you could try something less than 40 IBUs.

Good luck and enjoy :)
