Greetings to all. I am beginning my foray into home brewing. Quick question with regard to batch size. If I change that number the values of all the ingredients changes as well, but what is batch size. Is it the amount of wort going into the fermenter, or is it the desired net yield expected for bottling or kegging..

I select amount going into fermentor there is a little check box up the top of the recipie page. Or you can check end of kettle.

I use kettle and leave the amount I finish the boil at, and thats because i have kettle losses before I get to the fermenter, you can do it either way

if you dump everything from the kettle to the fermenter than use fermenter, if you have losses use kettle
