Glass type for beer

I was not aware of that. I don't see the OP has put a location, so I guess I'd have to peruse other threads or comments to figure that out, unless I missed it in a reply somewhere here.

But that is indeed a good point. Pints/Tumblers might be just right for that clientele and those beer styles.
Well I didn't t think they drank beer in Greece
So in that case just serve the beer in a red wine glass
Perfectly acceptable
But not a white wine glass

Lol...don't get me started on Prohibition! You think I have a lot to say on AI?
My grandparents had a 'wedding set' of I think a dozen of those smaller 'open pilsner' short-fluted types. (probably for Champagne) I think they are gone now. I regret not grabbing some when their bar was being divvied up after their passing. I'll check with my cousin to see if any remain. That is indeed a nice glass shape. An old friend gave me a 'beers from around the world' set with a display rack complete with logos on each glass paired to that style that I've never set up. I need to pull them out of storage and get it done. I'm fairly certain there are 2 or 3 of those in there...

Many breweries that I have been to have different glasses for different styles

I wonder if there is a law in Germany.
I suspect that they are just passionate about their beer there. I could imagine a bartender refusing to pour a mug of pilsner.

They will tell you mugs are for bock but across the border pilsner Urquel is served in a mug

i had a branded mug of ayinger pilsner 2 nights ago. i guess it could have been a bock glass that they put the pils in????

One particular brewery uses specific glasses for each beer so that any staff member can "get you another one" and not have to ask what you are having, they know by the glass you have...
