Freezer or Fridge?

So what's the smarter choice for using to lager or cold crash?

I'm thinking a freezer because your typical fridge will not get you down to near enough to freezing. My Inkbird will control temps and I'm also thinking freezer so I can make enough ice faster than my ice maker for my immersion chiller.

I use an upright freezer to ferment and a refrigerator to lager.

Freezer is greatest flexibility. So if there's no/little price difference I'd go with that.
